TODAY IS THE DAY TO PUT ASIDE THE SHOPPING LISTS AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL AND GLOBAL COMMUNITY!
Invest in your future by investing in theirs.
When RJ entered his teens, the Peete family discovered firsthand the dire lack of resources for young people on the autism spectrum to complete their education, obtain vocational training, and to find gainful employment. RJ received these services and he got a job with the Los Angeles Dodgers! Unfortunately, not all young people have that opportunity and we want to help!
Without employment, teens and young adults on the autism spectrum cannot satisfy the very basic human need for self-actualization.
Young people with autism are no different than neuro-typical young people. They have needs and desires that they want to fulfill on their own, with their own money. They want to be independent as much as possible and to contribute to society.
HollyRod's RJ'S PLACE Fletcher Square Los Angeles in conjunction with Goodwill Industries will provide vocational training, find employment opportunities and offer job placement services. Our goal is to ready teens and young adults for the workplace, help them identify their core talents and assist with locating suitable employment.
In addition to assisting young people with autism, we will provide a variety of services for families living with Parkinson's Disease.
